I teach in a special needs classroom and want to give my students every opportunity to learn! My student's make progress every day and have great imaginations, but aren't always able to express themselves like you or me.

I would love to give my students the opportunity to explore different professions and personalities by dressing up! Dramatic play is so important for young minds to grow. In the past my students have been interested in putting on plays and being included in the programs that other classes put on. If we had a dramatic play center available in the classroom, it would give my students a chance to imagine, and explore every day!

In order to get a center started I need dress up supplies. Since I don't have anything right now, starting from scratch would be expensive for me to fund on my own. I plan on building a dressing room myself, so that students can step behind and come out a whole new persona.

Your help will make this new center possible for my students. We will be able to act out our favorite stories, and put on class plays for our parents. My students may not be able to do everything that their non-disabled peers can do; but there are so many similarities in children, something as simple as dressing up can amaze you!
