"I teach in a Title I (high-need) school. My classroom is a third grade language arts room and I have two classes (approximately 40) students each day.

Many of my students are avid readers and will read an entire chapter book or more a night if they can get their hands on them! My leveled library, unfortunately, is quite limited, and there are not enough books to keep the students' interest. We only have one basket (approximately 25) level O (approx. 3.8 grade level) books that many students have to share

My students need books that are interesting to them that they have not read! I have chosen 45 books to add to my classroom library that appeal to their interest and are developmentally appropriate for my students.

Your support can help ensure that my students continue to love reading and that they have the resources to do so. hide»

My students need interesting books on beginning fourth grade level, from "The Boxcar Children" to "The Chameleon Wore Chartreuse". details»

Dear Jana, Charlie, Colleen, Hope, Michelle, Typezero3, Stacey, Sudarshan, Joanne, Darci, Skip a Lunch Foundation and Anonymous Donors,

Thank you so much for your generous donation! My students have been working very hard this year to become better readers, and they will be thrilled to receive new books. I know this will increase their motivation to read, both in class and at home. The books will provide students with more opportunities to read different books and not be stuck on the same books over and over again. Support like yours helps our school be able to meet the needs of a very diverse population.
