Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

When people ask if I have kids, I say yes, 22! I teach kindergarten to a high-need community of children with asthma.

Each day I make sure to clean my classroom at the end of the day to ensure a clean germ free environment. The students enjoy sweeping to help out as well as cleaning anything else possible without using smelly supplies.

All the students love to clean, however one main component of our classroom that we can't tackle is the rug. It is about 6 years old and filled with dust and germs that affect the greater population of the class with asthma! Receiving a new rug would be a great addition to our newly painted classroom. It will be a great new fresh and clean, easy to breath environment.

With your help, you will make is possible for my students to feel comfortable in their home away from home. Not only can they lay around the rug and be in a comfortable position to learn, they can breath easier with less germ build up in the classroom.
