My students need 1 complete set of hands on math trays, 1 complete set hands on language trays, 1 complete set of counting counters, and 1 complete set of hands on counting boxes. Each set has seperate sets to complete tasks in laguage developlement and math counting.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 20 four year- olds in an urban Title one school. The school has a growing Spanish population.

Children love to put their hands on items. They love to explore their world with their hands. Children need to be given the opportunity to use their hands to explore math and language. And many times the classroom does not have the materials available for the children to explore counting and use of certain language skills such as beginning letter sounds etc.

My students need a complete set of counters that include animals, dinosaurs, cars, sea animals, and fruits. They can count with these counters and even sort them which leads to the next item they need made available to them. The children need a complete set of math trays. The children use these trays to help them sort, graph, and count. The children will be using their hands to explore graphing, counting and sorting with these counters and trays. The children also need a complete set of hands on language centers which they will explore beginning letter sounds, rhymes and other beginning language skills needed to help them read for kindergarten. Last but not least the children need a complete hands on math center set. They will use their hands again to explore math concepts of counting, sorting and graphing using a variety of materials provided in each of the complete set kits.

Your donation will ensure my students will have hands on experiences with counting, sorting, graphing, and beginning language skills need to continue on in their education. Without your donation the children will not have these materials made available to the children to use the hands in learning.
