Portable Whiteboard For Chemistry Classroom

As of right now, my classroom functions inadequately as a learning environment. I am currently a high school chemistry teacher at a title 1 school. I teach in a failing and high needs public school district. My students grades range from 10th to 12th.

Presently, the classroom is outfitted with a blackboard. This board is isolated behind a lab table and not in good proximity to the students. My students are unable to clearly read what is written on the board for two reasons. First, the blackboard is located away from the students. Secondly, the blackboard collects tons of dust which makes it even harder to read from. Another issue with the chalkboard is that it isolates me from the students when I am writing on it during class. Finally, the blackboard has tape residue on it from previous teachers. This minimizes the writing space.

My classroom desperately needs a portable whiteboard. With it, I would be able to bring the classroom material to the students. My students could read material on the board more clearly. The whiteboard would also allow me to be close to my students while teaching. Also, this new whiteboard would afford me extra writing space. Finally, since it is portable, I would be able to use it outdoors or by the lab tables when we are conducting experiments.
