Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach high school journalism and media in a school where more than 80 percent of the students are eligible for free lunch. My programs are underfunded, mainly due to the high expense of software and hardware for high tech classes. My students would love to start a podcast.

Six years ago, my students started a television show with a $2,000 grant that bought two cameras and a computer. Now they want to expand that program to include podcasting and move the broadcast program into audio in the 21st Century.

We don't have the extra money we would need to buy the audio mixer, microphone and software needed to start a podcast. But you can help us to get the technology we need for my students to learn 21st Century radio and podcasting skills.

We know that without you, this small, but achievable goal can not happen. If you donate to us and help us reach our goal, we can take our small, struggling program to the next level. This may seem like a small idea, but it will make a big difference.
