My students need 20 flash drives to save their power point presentations, word documents, pictures and videos.

Our school is a k-6 elementary school with diversified community where more than half of the kids qualify for free and reduced price lunch. My students need to develop skills in learning technology specially using computers. Without computers at home some of them depend on school computers to work on their projects. Those who have computers at home, want to take projects home & work on them.

We need flash drives to take files home since no other option is available to them. Last year students faced many problems like lost files, file compatibility problems because of different versions of Microsoft office at home vs school, big files not able to download because of hard drive limitations which lead to frustration and tears.

Flash drives can allow my students who have computers at home to work on their projects. It also works like a back up of their projects. They can also realize version conflicts early in their project and can plan accordingly. Students who do not have computers at home can also get benefited by saving their files on flash drives so that they can work in the class or in the computer lab at their convenient times.

My students need to learn how to use technology to be successful in the world and I want to prepare them well for the future. We appreciate your help in getting 20 flash drives to save the students work like power point presentations, word documents, pictures and videos.
