My students need 7 microslide viewer sets to study the microscopic world around them.

I teach fifth grade in a program for academically gifted students. We are part of a program that provides services to students from all of the elementary schools in our county. The students in my class have a wonderful thirst for learning.

Last year we were fortunate enough to get class sets of microslide viewers to see the amazing microscopic things in the world that are not normally able to be seen in an elementary classroom. Now we are trying to build a library of Microslide Viewer Slide Strips. These give the children a chance to see things as small as viruses, which you would normally have to have much higher powered microscopes to see.

If my students are able to use the resources they will get a chance to see things we only talk about in class. Each child will get to see what a real virus looks like or what cells are doing when they reproduce. This will help them prepare for a great school career as budding scientists.
