I am an elementary public school special education teacher. I teach children of various learning differences (learning disabilities, developmental delays, autism spectrum, orthopedic impairments, attention deficit disorders). Last school year I asked for and received a laptop computer for my children from wonderful donors through DonorsChoose. My children really, really enjoyed having a laptop in the classroom. I loaded several educational programs geared toward my students' needs. Seeing that success and how excited my children were makes me realize how a second laptop would be beneficial. Having two laptops would ease the waiting time of others patiently awaiting their turn. Laptops are great to have because they are mobile (as opposed to desktops) and the child can sit comfortably anywhere in the room. Please help fund another laptop computer for my children. Learning for them is fun and exciting, and what better way to accomplish this then through technology?
