I teach both Advanced Placement and regular education History. I have a population of students that have high needs. I teach special education students as well as advanced so I see the gamut of students! My students often need to make a quick copy of a lost assignment to redo, scan a photo for a project, or print a photo of themselves to show family their success.

Imagine wanting to get a copy of a missing assignment and having to rush around school to get it. With your help imagine this situation, student asks for missing assignment and teacher makes a fast copy. The student is able to hand it back in and no more missing assignment! The nearest copy machine is a long walk and only faculty are able to use the machine- so the student would have to wait until my planning to get the needed assignment. Your help would ensure that the student is more efficient and better prepared! The machine will also be used to scan images for projects. Students will also have the ability to print photos of themselves acting and thinking like a Historian. I have a digital camera, but no printer! So now students can take pictures and have pictures to show off to friends and family! Isn't that what every teen wants- to be considered special and an expert?

I need the printer/copier/scanner for the classroom. I also would like the ink cartridges for the machine. This will benefit my class tremendously! Many of my students have difficult situations and often have a hard time keeping up assignments and materials. Your help will ensure that they build their self esteem by having completed assignments. Students will also be able to scan and print images- and not just black and white, but color images! This will be very useful when doing projects in our classroom!

Your help will ensure that my students are more efficient and better prepared! The class will also be more organized. This will lead to the teacher having to spend less time worrying in copy-lab and more time spent on lesson plans! The students will also gain self respect by having photos of themselves to show off!
