I am a first grade teacher in a Title 1 School that is located in a high-needs community. About 70% of our students are on free or reduced lunch. I frequently spend my own money to buy the necessary enrichment materials for my class but I am struggling to be able to provide them with what they need.

Single caregivers (a parent or a grandparent) are raising a lot of my students and older brothers and sisters are looking after a few of my students until their parent(s) arrive home late in the evening. In stating the above information, my students are very eager to learn and are able to pick up on new concepts quickly but do not have access to educational hands on games and activities. We really need your help. If you would be willing to donate just a few dollars to help my students become better readers, I would greatly appreciate it.

I am asking for your help in purchasing four file folder books that I can tear apart and make new games for them along with the board games Python Path and Ready Words. Python Path is a fun game that allows the children to score points for the number of words they make. Ready words is a spelling game for beginners. This game works on reinforcing the alphabet and then later on it allows the child to take the game a step further and they turn the alphabet cards into words that match the pictures on their game cards I would really love for them to have the Phonics Game Board Books because it has six different games in it for the children to play. These games will help my students learn Language Art concepts in a fun way along with helping to reinforces those skills through play and promote student-to-student interaction and cooperation.

Your generous donation will help ensure that my students have fun learning the necessary goals and objects for first grade. They would appreciate your donation in helping them to be able to learn in a fun way. I know that will not be able to provide my students with these wonderful resources without your help.
