"Reading is fundamental for my students! I teach Science and Language Arts to 6th grade students who are primarily 2nd language learners and about 85% of them participate in the school's free and/or reduced lunch program.
Students need to read in order to succeed. My classroom library is in need of a makeover with fresh new novels that will grab the attention of readers at all levels.
In revamping the classroom library, I hope to incorporate graphic novels as a way to get even my most reluctant readers to read and enjoy reading. I also hope to use these graphic novels, such as "Bone: Out from Boneville" to engage students in thinking critically about the plot and character and to get them writing about it as well.
Your assistance will help to turn my out-of-date classroom library into a library that is rich with different genres and encourage all students to read and enjoy reading.
My students need 30 copies of the graphic novel "Bone: Out from Boneville" to enhance their reading skills.
The cost of this proposal is $378, which includes shipping for any materials requested and fulfillment ."

Dear Nathan and Anonymous Donor,
Thank you for your generous contribution to my classroom. Because of your thoughtfulness, my students will be exposed to a new genre of reading. With these graphic novels, my students will hopefully be able to enjoy reading in a different manner. I am especially excited to share this book with my reluctant readers and English language learners.
Once again, many thanks for thinking about my classroom and for helping us learn in new, different and creative ways.
Sincerely,
Mrs. L
