This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Hello! I am a second grade teacher at an inner-city school in Maryland. I teach a diverse group of second graders in an inclusive setting, and 86% of our students receive a free or reduced lunch. I am so lucky to work with such amazing kids every day, help me be the best teacher I can be, for them!

Our students abilities in math continue to grow, and I am looking for ways to move away from paper and pencil reviews, and review concepts in an interesting, interactive way! Calendar math is a great, daily routine that helps students to review math concepts quickly and effectively.

We need a complete, calendar math set and a new carpet to gather the kids close while we review! This will help important math skills like addition, subtraction, money and time become natural for the children in my classroom, strengthening their foundation for the years to come!

I am so proud to be part of an amazing school that has made significant gains over the past few years. We are on our way, but I need your help to give my students a fun, engaging daily math review using calendars and a place to review on!
