As a student, would you rather learn from an overhead presented lesson or a LCD projected lesson?

My students live in a rural part of our county and sometimes ride a bus for 1.5 hours one way. Parents can not afford to purchase supplies, much less give a donation. I have saved $5 classroom donations for 3 years to purchase a projector. After 3 years I have saved $195 (and no I have not spent any of the donations). Students learn better when using technology but the funds are not available at my school. My school does not have a computer lab to accommodate my classes therefore it is up to me if I wish to have technology in the classroom.

I need a projector in my classroom so that students are able to benefit from visually seeing geometry come to life with Geo Sketchpad, viewing integer tutorials on the Internet, math games and being able to get used to PowerPoint. I feel my students could actually get excited about math with a projector.

A donation would make a world of difference in my classroom lessons. I could grab the attention of my students using so many different things. There is no way I can personally purchase a projector and after 3 years, I am no where near having the donated to purchase a projector. I am begging please help me get a projector.
