I am a third year teacher at a middle school. My students are average middle school students who have troubles engaging in reading materials. "The Pigman" by Paul Zindel is a novel that will hold their attention and will open up a new world to a student who has not enjoyed reading in the past.

Our school does not have many class sets of up to date novels. The few copies we have of "The Pigman" are falling apart and molding. Last year I had to make photo copies of some of the chapters.

I would love to start the next school year with a new set of books. This will not only benefit my class, but the other 7th grade classes at our school. The students will be more engaged in the lesson and reading if they each had their own copy of the book.
