"Welcome to my classroom proposal! I am a 1st grade teacher working in a small rural community in Arizona. Teaching is my passion!
I like to think of myself as a good teacher, but sometimes I feel as though I am OUT OF SIGHT (literally speaking)! This is where the problem comes in. With over 30 students in my classroom, there is always a row of children who cannot see the books that I am reading. No matter if I stand, sit, or walk around, my students are always straining their eyes and their necks just to get a glimpse of the book. They are just too FAR OUT!
Big books offer an excellent alternative to the standard-size picture books most often used. However, most teachers (like me) just cannot afford them. So, I am looking for some help.
Any donation you provide will go towards the purchase of these fantastic big books. There are a total of ten books; 5 Science-Themed books and 5 Math-Themed books. These books will be used daily in whole-group, small-groups, center-time, and free choice...truly the gift that keeps on giving. Whether or not you choose to donate to this proposal, my students and I appreciate your dedication and commitment to education.
My students need 2 sets of big books to learn math and science.

"My students refer to their donors often, in appreciation and gratitude, for the amazing resources that have been provided for their learning. They smile in wonder as they ask how their donors new exactly what they needed! Many of my students have even expressed their desire to be a donor when they grow up. Thanks again for making a huge difference in the lives of these litte learners."
