Imagine yourself in a brilliantly written story, where you live with pioneers and learn how to adapt with the everyday dilemmas that arise. In my third grade classroom, I would love the opportunity to engage children in this way. I teach in a very low socio-economic region in Indiana.

Many of my students have difficulties reading and parents who can't help because they struggle as well. I also have a percentage of students who excel at reading and could benefit from having an opportunity to be challenged.

With a variety of literature that pertains to the same theme, I will be able to engage my students at each reading level. The opportunity to introduce the science theme of landforms and communities through brilliantly written literature, will give these children security and the ability to read at their reading level.

With your donation these children and children for years to come, will be able to enjoy these works of literature. With your help, I will be able to offer opportunities during our reading units that will enlighten, engage and enhance their educations.
