Hey Look At Us--Kindergarten students love to see photos of themselves and these photos encourage them to write about their experiences. I teach a full day kindergarten class in a Title One school in South Carolina.

Most of my students need a lot of encouragement when learning to write. By having a photo printer, I will be able to print photos of the children doing a variety of activities at school. These photos will be glued into their journal for them to write about. We will also use the photos to create a Kindergarten Memory book that they will take home at the end of the school year.

By having the HP Photo Printer in my classroom, I will have the resources needed to print the photographs immediately. Having this resource in my room, means that I can print photos of the days activities and have them ready by journal time in the afternoon. Most kindergarten students are visual learners and having the printer will allow me to enhance their learning experience by providing them photos of themselves engaged in learning activities. The students will also be able to take home photos to share with their families who don't often get a chance to come to school and see what their child is doing and learning.

By funding this project, you will be giving me the tools needed to capture the learning in my classroom through photographs. "A picture is worth a thousand words." This can become a reality for my students if this project is funded.
