Children are our best investment for the future... I teach multiple-subjects to eager young 5th grade students. My school is part of a program called "Ten Schools" which is dedicated to providing inner-city children with the resources needed to become successful academically and socially.

Our students are at a disadvantage because we have limited technological resources and materials that are outdated, which leads to a disconnect between what they are learning as opposed to the rapidly changing "real world".

My students need an LCD Projector that will be used in conjunction with the school's video conferencing unit. This will allow my students to share information, question, and/or discuss current information in science, math, geography, etc... with real live professionals or even peers from other schools. Thus validating what they are learning and providing a fresh new technological way of sharing information.
