My students need a creative play center for the classroom that can mimic several activities done with grandparents from dressing up, going grocery shopping, going to the bowling lane to getting an ice cream.

I am an elementary school teacher and I work with Pre-k students. I would like to create a grandparents activity center in my classroom.

My classroom is an interactive place for children. I feel young children learn best through play experiences. I would like to have more play materials to create a Grandma and Grandpa activity center that feels like activities that grandparents like to do.

I would like add a Grandma's and Grandpa's activity center. This would include two special trunks filled with clothes. The grandma side would also have a tea room, play purses, a grocery cart and grocery center. The grandpa side would have a music center, ice cream shop, and bowling lane. Most children at my school are cared for by their grandparents afterschool. This would be a fun area that would allow an in school connection with grandparents.

Grandparents are always the ones that treat you the most special. Nothing is better than being allowed to open grandma's purse or sharing an ice cream cone with grandpa. This center will allow children a creative play opportunity that reflects their life.
