As a first year kindergarten teacher, I know my students need a musical library to provide them with rich listening and learning experiences. As they name that tune in our kindergarten room, they will develop an appreciation for music, foster their creativity, and become culturally well-rounded citizens. 78% of learning is social and most kindergarten students enter their first day very shy and about to cry. What better way to break the ice by letting them listen to some classic tunes by artists such as Hap Palmer, Raffi, Ella Jenkins, Greg and Steve and Dr. Jean? They will not only learn concepts such as colors, days of the week, using their five senses, and parts of grammar and speech, they will also learn how to get along by singing wonderful, fabulous kindergarten songs!
