Staying Active, Even in the Rain

My students need a table tennis multipack for rainy Louisiana days when P.E. just cannot be done outside.

I work as a PE teacher at an alternative school in South Louisiana. Our school has no gym and limited physical education supplies, but our youth severely need a quality physical education program to positively direct their stored up energy and aggression.

Most of our youth are sent to this alternative school for behavioral reasons. They are very smart young people who have never been able to learn proper ways to release their energy within a school setting. They also have never seen school as a fun place to be and a place to learn and grow.

I am simply requesting a multipack of table tennis nets and paddles so my students can remain active and energized on rainy Louisiana days when going outside for PE is simply not an option. Turning on a movie is just not a stimulating option in my opinion.

The resource I request just doesn't fit in the schools budget and PE for so long has just not been considered an educational necessity, but it's through this program that our young people can enhance their time here at school and develop a stronger sense of accomplishment. Please consider helping me simply motivate and encourage young people to want to be at school to grow and develop into the young people we know they can be.
