My class needs a wireless color printer.

I call my class the "super stars."I teach students in grades kindergarten, first, and third grades with special needs. These students have learning disabilities, emotional difficulties, and my young students have developmental disabilities.

Being in special education, district resources are very limited. I am constantly looking for new resources and worksheets that are found on the Internet to help achieve my student's IEP goals and academic goals. The printer I have is very outdated and prints mainly black, since the color ink cartridges are more expensive. There are wonderful activities, games, and worksheets I could use off of the Internet, but without a color printer, it makes it very difficult. I develop numerous newsletter and parent communication information I send home weekly. This information would be more engaging and eye catching to parents, if I was able to print this off in color. I feel like their education is being hindered because I do not have the quality technology to serve their needs.

My class would greatly benefit from a wireless color printer. This printer would allow me to print any activity, reinforcement worksheet, and/or game off of the Internet to help my students reach their fullest potential possible. My students will learn using the various color and black/white activities, I will be able to find with the use of the wireless color printer.

If you decided to donate to my project, I assure you that YOU WILL BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE in the lives of very grateful and deserving students. A color printer will make it possible for my students to learn through engaging and interacting activities and resources that I find using various Internet resources. When I find something useful on the Internet, I will now not have to wait for those "teachable moments" just because I won't have a good quality printer. Thank you so much for your donation.
