I teach 8th grade social studies in a high-need community that has many special education and English Speakers of Other Languages issues.
I teach at a multicultural, poverty stricken school. We are starting to get some technology, and as the kids interact with it they love and thirst for more knowledge through it.
There is no way for me to get copies of all of the important documents from history that I would like to teach them. Even if I could make the copies, many of my students are ESOL students and require more than just a piece of paper in their hands. With all of that in mind, the visual presenter would allow me to place whatever document or even object from history that I may have and project it onto my screen. The sky would be the limit as to the help I could give my special needs children. This project would help my students become a part of history and to really engage the lessons and documents from history. You would make it possible for my students to see and experience things that they would never get to as a group. With today's fast pace, these students could accomplish all they are expected to and actually exceed the standards of education. My students need a visual presenter that can project documents and anything on paper to my board in class. HIDEMr. E.'s Classroom:
