Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am an ceramic art teacher at a high school in Arizona. A lot of my students are English Language learners and are live at the poverty level.

We need more clay tools, and decorating wheels for the students to work on, right now we have some, but are in need of more so that the students do not have to waste their time waiting for another student to finish using the tool they want. The art budget does not allow for much, and is fully funded by the student's 10 dollar fee they have to pay, (which goes entirely to the cost of clay and glazes).

By having extra clay tools the students will be able to use their time more wisely and not have to wait long periods. This will help my students stay on track and keep them motivated. The decorating wheels will help the students to view all sides of their projects, without the fear of breaking it.

You can make it possible for my students to achieve in ceramics, and stay on track, which will increase their creativity and problem solving skills!!
