My First Grade Students come from low income homes and receive free or reduced lunch. With the price of uniforms on the rise, most of our parents' budgets are exhausted when school supplies are needed. Recycling what we can from the year before does not give us enough school supplies to begin the new School Year. My students are eager to learn but lack the supplies they need to get the job done. I would like to build their self-esteem by giving them their own school supplies. These students deserve the same opportunities as other students. This is Part 3 of 4 Proposals for basic supplies such as pencils, sharpeners, paper, folders, etc. that are used daily within the classroom. With these much needed school supplies, students would spend more time concentrating on learning the necessary skills they need to succeed in School and in Life. Having their own supplies to use at their own desks, makes them feel good instead of wishing they had the supplies that their neighbor might have. These supplies will play a major part in ensuring the success of our young learners who are eager to learn new things. With your help I envision my students working hard, enjoying learning, and feeling good about themselves. Your donation of these essential supplies will help my students continue to be creative artists as well as creative writers.
