Kids & Poetry--Attracting Polar Opposites!

My students need magnetic poetry kits of different types and with different types of words.

Writer's block is common--magnetic poetry kits can help! I teach sixth grade language arts in a suburban town where some kids haven't had much background in literacy.

Because some of my students don't have books at home, they don't have the expansive vocabulary that is necessary for writing. Whether it is poetry, fiction, or a report, I often see the same words.

To expand my students' vocabularies and help them deal with writer's block, we need poetry kits where the students can simply choose the words. Breaking writing down to multiple choice, in essence, helps the students feel more comfortable about writing and builds their vocabulary for the next assignment.

You can give my students the power of writing as you give them the vocabulary and confidence they will need to be successful writers and successful communicators for the rest of their lives.
