My students need 4 durable individual book boxes. Each book box will sit on their desks and be readily available for independent reading. Currently we use large one gallon zip lock baggies. Trying to help our environment, I want to incorporate more reusable items into my classroom.

Ericson is a high achieving Title One school. The majority of my first grade students speak English as a second language. They are highly motivated to learn and delightful to teach.

Children become powerful readers when they READ. It is critical that they spend time reading independently each day. They need to read books that are "just right" for their reading ability.

By having reusable book bins, each student will have immediate access to books they have chosen from the classroom library. The bins will help keep their desk tops tidy and we will avoid using approximately 100 gallon size Ziploc bags each school year.

Your donation will give each student about 5 extra minutes each day. Primary students take about 5 minutes to find their book bags in their desk because they get distracted with other things. These table top book bins will allow them to begin independent reading promptly, and lengthen the time they spend reading.
