I teach music appreciation, choir, and a small performance ensemble. I love music and teaching children all the wonderful things about music and how it can improve knowledge in other areas.

My students have been studying Broadway musicals old and new, and they have an enormous desire to see a musical up close. We have talked about musicals from "Fiddler on the Roof" to "West Side Story," as well as concerts like the Three Tenors, and the students just simply love to listen to these concerts and musicals. One student, after listening to "Phantom of the Opera" in class, went out and purchased the actual film, and she told me that she watches the film all the time now. What a great impact it could have if the students could see all their favorite musicals in class and express their appreciation for the arts!

We are in need of an LCD Projector. This projector will give the students a chance to see what it's like to watch a Broadway musical, classical symphony, opera, choral concert, or jazz performance up close in their classroom. It will also help put the students' overall understanding of music from other cultures and places in a broader context.

Your generous help in this matter will ensure that my students get the opportunity not only to hear but to see the only universal language--music--in a big way. Thank you in advance for your generous donation.
