Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

At-risk. Committed. Success. Hi. I teach Kindergarten in an at risk district. I am honored to teach in a diverse classroom with many different learning levels.

Many of my students are learning English as a second language. Bringing learning alive in our classroom is what I have found to make my students successful learners. I spend hundreds of dollars purchasing "hands on" materials and supplies to bring life to my lessons and activities. Big Books are a NEED in our classroom, and unfortunately, I am unable to purchase/afford the cost of GREAT literature.

With the aid of DonorsChoose.org, our classroom will shine with laughter, connections, and success in reading. Being able to model reading for and with my students teach them not only how to read, but how to be a successful reader!
