This is my third year teaching third grade. I teach reading, math, science, spelling, english, and social studies. Our school has students from 25 different countries attending everyday!

We have no microscopes in our K-5 school and I would like to have two microscopes for my students science lessons as well as be able to lend them to other classrooms in our building.

We spend most of our year working on dissecting plants, rocks, and minerals and looking at them under magnifying glasses. But, the students can't see the fine detail of what makes up these objects. In our crystals unit, they can't see the shape of the individually crystals because they are too small. Two microscopes would make a great learner center to help our students see the unseen!
