In my classroom, no child is left behind...but technology has been. Students are not challenged by the black and white transparencies and shadows provided by the overheads we are so used to using. Students want more. They want full color pictures, accurate images of manipulatives, and live motion that everyone can see in full detail.

My students need a document camera in their classroom to take the overhead into the 21st century. A document camera provides full color images and motion of whatever is set under the camera. Imagine reading great children's literature on a daily basis with all children able to see every detailed picture in full color. No longer will students in the back complain about not being able to see the pictures. Students will be able to watch as science projects are demonstrated step by step, detail by detail. Every piece of student writing becomes a wall-size book for students to read, critique, and learn from.
