My Students
Welcome to our first year of firsties! First grade is full of movement, singing, stations, and a lot of fun! In first grade Reading and Math are our top goals. I want my students to read on or above a first grade level by the end of the year.
I have a class of 24 fun, loving, energetic first graders.
My school is a fun place to be. We are a fine arts school which includes Music, Art, P.E., Dance, and Drama. Having the arts at our school gives our students the opportunity to express themselves through one of the five fine arts programs.
My Project
I am a first year teacher with limited resources. I know with the help of DonorsChoose.org my students will benefit tremendously. The iPads will allow them access to literacy and math activities. With only two student computers in our classroom, having the iPads will help with a classroom of 24 students. The listening library will help keep my students engaged and excited about reading. I know when my students have the resources needed they will be successful and prepared for second grade.
This donations will advance my students in more ways than one.
The iPads can not only help in reading but math as well. The leveled readers will help the students gain confidence in reading. My goal is to see my students move to the next level. The donations will be greatly appreciated and I know the students will be excited to use them throughout their learning process. I know setting the foundation in first grade will propel them for success in second grade and beyond.
