Hello! I am a 4th grade teacher as well as the school choir director. I have a passion for music and absolutely LOVE my job! I currently work at a school built for 600 students that is holding 847 students at the present time. Because of the overcrowding, there is no extra funding for the music program.

The area I work in consists mainly of students whose parents both work outside of the home. Summers can be very long and difficult for students who are home all day while parents are at work. I have decided to put together a summer music program that allows students a place to come during the summer and develop their musical talents. There is no budget for this kind of a program at our overcrowded school and for the summer music program to work, we are in desperate need of a set of risers.

With a set of portable risers we would be able to practice and also take the risers with us to perform at various locations in our community. With the risers our students would have a place to go this summer to learn and grow and develop their talents.

Your donation would provide an opportunity for our students to have a music program to participate in during the long summer months. Thank you for taking the time to read about our school and thank you for taking an interest in education!
