Budding musicians need your help. I teach elementary band in a low-income area.

My 4th grade students need instruments to participate in the band program. Many of my students have a strong desire to participate in the band program. Unfortunately, the majority of families cannot afford to rent or purchase an instrument for their children. Each year I have a list of students who would like to participate in the program, but they need an instrument.

The school has a few instruments that the students are able to borrow, but the number of instruments we have is limited, which then excludes interested students. The flute is a popular choice among the 4th graders. This instrument will enable a student to fulfill their musical hopes and dreams.

A new flute will allow the opportunity for many students to participate in the band throughout the years to come. You will make it possible for students to learn how to play an instrument. This is a life-long skill that they will have forever. They will be so excited to be given the opportunity to play in the band!
