A"Maze"ing Adventures: Helping Students Deal with Change is a lesson plan for high school seniors exiting high school and entering the world beyond. I am a guidance counselor and I teach a leadership class with high school seniors. I want to teach these emerging leaders how to navigate their personal mazes and help them understand what cheese motivates them. Students will also learn about their mouse traps or fears which can immobilize them from accomplishing their goals. This knowledge will help them move past their fear and gain a more positive perspective for their lives.

In order to teach this lesson plan, students need to have access to the book, "Who Moved My Cheese." Currently, I do not have the funds to supply the book for the high school seniors.

The book "Who Moved My Cheese" is the essential ingredient in order to make this lesson plan successful. The book will enable the students to have a class set as they learn about personal change. I will keep the books as a class set so future students can also have access to the books.

Ultimately, with a donation of a class set of books, students will be able to become acquainted with the metaphor embedded in the book, "Who Moved My Cheese." Students will be impacted by the story and learn positive ways to cope with life changes.
