My classroom is a colorful melange of creative characters, hardworking scholars and students who keep hope on the tip of their tongues and pens.

We are lucky to have been selected as a part of a pilot program that brings technology into the classrooms of low-income schools. We were given an interactive whiteboard which has been a fantastic way for students to view materials and interact with web-based content. The problem we have run into however is that the board came without speakers. My laptop volume simply can't reach the ears in the back of the packed 30-student room so much of the interactive web-based media isn't well-received.

Our classroom would greatly benefit by receiving a speaker system so that the Internet-based media could be used to enhance student learning and transform our classroom into the technological future.

With your help, my lessons will literally jump off the screen, into the ears and minds of my students. You will help ensure that content is consistently delivered in a fresh and engaging manner and that students will be able to interact with music, video and knowledge in a way that we never could when we grew up!
