This is a second grade classroom in a high poverty stricken area. This is a Title One school, in which 99% of children are raised by grandparents and/or foster parents.

The resources that I will need for this project is a television with a DVD player so that these children can watch their all time favorite Dr. Seuss series. I am also asking for this updated technology because the television used in our classroom had broken after using it for the past 6 years.

You will make it possible for my students to learn about this all time favorite American series that we all grew up loving. I could not imagine giving a better gift than the one to knowing about all all time favorite character. Please fund this project for a life long time of learning and many more years to come.

With 99% of these children being raised by grandparents or foster parents, these second graders have faced many obstacles. With not only having almost any supplies, their background knowledge is very limited. This is why these 2nd graders have limited information about Dr. Seuss. I am asking for these supplies to be able to explain who this all time favorite American character is about in a upgraded technological way!
