I am an elementary special education teacher, grades K-5. We are a small school in a small town in Wyoming.

My students view the world in different ways than students without disabilities, while struggling with reading and writing.

Supplying my special education students with digital cameras that they will be able to check out and take home will allow them the freedom to capture images that are important to them. They will then compile these images into personal, reflective journals, using the computer.

Your help with this project will encourage my students with disabilities to read and write. These are problematic areas for them. It will also offer alternate ways for those children that are unable to write to communicate with people around them.
