My kids are yearning for some learning! I teach 960 underprivileged elementary students, as a resource teacher. The students range in age from 4 to 12 and I only get to see them for 45 minutes a week. I teach math, science, language arts and social studies to reinforce the standards that are taught in their homerooms.

My kids can GROOVE! Although they might struggle academically, they can remember the lyrics and dance moves to anything on the radio. Many of our children do not have Internet or computer access at home and almost none can afford an iPod. I want to hook them into learning curriculum and content by using music and movement.

Our classroom needs an iPod that we can download music onto and use for our lessons. The students can rewrite songs to contain curriculum information and can also use to make presentations in class. Also, research supports that students who move while they are learning absorb more information!

Your help will get my students into the groove of learning! They are ready and able but I cannot provide the tunes without you!
