I am a Kindergarten teacher and I have a wonderful group of bright students who love school, and are eager to learn. The circumstance of the students in the neighborhood I teach is far from ideal. It is a neighborhood where students spend most of their time indoors because it's not always safe to play outside. It is very important that my students are given every opportunity within the school and classroom, as many educational needs are not met in the home or community. I feel my students deserve the best opportunity possible, despite the circumstance of the neighborhood or economic status. Please help give my students the power of technology, and access to the world wide web. Many of my Kindergarteners do not have computers in their home, and only have access to the computers at school. My classroom is very fortunate to have three student computers. We are also very fortunate to have a classroom that has Wi-Fi wireless Internet. Unfortunately it was only in the budget to install a wireless card into one computer. Computers are amazing educational tools, and with the Internet installed it increases the possibilities of the computer. There are so many skills, activities, and knowledge to be gained from the internet. All of these things are possible with the Internet. All it will take to start this process is two wireless Internet cards. We have the computers. We have the Wi-Fi access. We just need the wireless cards. Your help will ensure that my Kindergarten students have the opportunities that technology has to offer. You will make it possible for Kindergarteners have access to a world outside their own. You can make it possible for children to learn what is possible in a world outside their neighborhood. Give my students the opportunity to get online, explore, and learn!
