I teach math and science to 36 6th graders who I want to get fired up about science. I recently attended a conference for educators provided by the Spectroscopy Society.

They got me fired up about teaching my students about light, especially the spectra of elements. They gave me some spectroscopes to use with my kids, but we really need some tubes and a power supply so that the kids can see firsthand how the spectrum varies between elements.

Your providing this will provide awesome experiences for my students and those in classes that follow. It will allow me to complement and supplement my science curriculum in a high tech way.

You will inspire my students' interest in science. Our society needs kids who will approach learning and problem solving with the enthusiasm that using these kinds of materials will promote. Thank you!
