Hello! I am a second grade teacher with 29 years experience and lots of enthusiasm to motivate my students in becoming conscientious and eager learners.

My second graders have such enthusiasm in learning to read and write, but often lack attention and motivation to follow assignments through to their conclusion. They really respond well when the assignment is made meaningful and personal.

With access to a digital camera and photo printer, students' photographs could become a part of their finished projects. Students could photograph the steps in a cooking project and then write captions to illustrate their story. Children learn so much by doing and from each other; they could video other students demonstrating the procedures in a math concept to not only reinforce their understanding of the concept, but also to provide their classmates with tutorial support.

Your generous support would provide so much to all of the students in our class. It would motivate them, reinforce academic concepts, provide co-operative learning opportunities, and allow them to have a photo illustrated finish piece of work to share with their peers and parents.
