By providing a classroom library filled with classics and modern stories of today with variety in subject and reading level, my students can find books that bring their imagination to life. This could be their opportunity to fall in love with reading!
Education in my school's community is a top priority.
The families strive to ensure that their student will reach success despite financial hardships that the area has endured. In order to achieve this success it is essential that students be exposed to reading and find a love for it early.
My Project
By providing my classroom with these resources the students will be able to read books that may not be available to them elsewhere. They can begin to develop or strengthen interests that they have through a love of books whether it be mystery novels, how to books, or anything in between.
This project will ensure that all of my students will be able to find a book that they want to read directly in the classroom.
It is important as an English teacher to continue finding books that are new and exciting for the students while still providing them with older stories that may surprise them. In order to achieve this goal I need the support of others to ensure that my students can get what they need to succeed.
