Ms. Smith from Fairburn GA is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need 26 individual headphones for our iPads and Chromebook lessons and activities with sound.

We are a lucky class that got the chance to use and learn with iPads and Chromebooks this year! Some of our activities and lessons involve sound effects/notifications that can be distracting in a class full of 25 students. Headphones would help curve the sounds and keep our kiddos focused.
We are a diverse group in a combo grade class (second and third graders) with big personality.
We are all eager to learn and jump at new opportunities to do so. Our school has approximately 950 students; we are a K-6 grade school. Everyday we get the chance to work independently and within a group or with partners. Being able to use technology in class has been an awesome experience we are grateful for!
Throughout the day we use our technology for center lessons, group projects, skill practice, note taking, and just reading and discovering new books for fun (via apps and websites introduced to us) just to name a few things. With all of such going on the noise level and ability to focus on particular activities can get challenging. However, having a class set of 26 individual head phones would make this a lot easier and manageable.
My students will learn to take care and take pride in having their own individual headphones.
With the students having their own headphones in class to use it will also make for grouping and scheduling certain times of the day for low to high noise levels easier; we won't have to worry about not being able to hear any of a lesson/activity!
