My students need computers for our classroom so we can improve our typing skills and to enhance lessons.

My Students

Not all of my students are able to access technology at home, so at school is the only exposure they get.

I teach ELA to three third grade classes.

The majority of my students live at or below the poverty line. They are all very excited to learn. They aim to please and love to be praised for positive behavior. My students are very hard workers, but just need a little motivation to help them succeed.

My Project

Typing is a crucial skill in third grade. We are expected to do all required testing online, but our students lack the skills in typing due to the lack of resources. I hope to get computers donated so my students can practice typing essays and getting familiar with the keyboard. Also, since most students do not have Internet access at home, research must be done at school. Having these computers in my classroom would allow more students to research and do other computer related activities while at school.

By having these computers in my classroom, students will be able to enhance their education by gaining the typing and researching skills needed for the future.
