Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a Science Lab teacher in an elementary school with a large ELL (English Language Learner) population. Many of our student are on free or reduced lunch program.

Every time we use microscopes in my class the students love it. The only problem is only having 3 microscopes for the whole class to share.

I would love to have at least 2 microscopes for each lab group to use for making observations. The microscopes I have asked for are perfect for young students. They use real slides and are well made. They are the perfect teaching microscope for elementary aged kids.

I know that my students would love to use microscopes more often. The biggest part of science is observing and wondering and asking questions. Your gift of microscopes and slide preparing materials will give my students more hands on learning, the ability to learn the proper way to use microscopes and prepare slides, and more importantly, a way to enhance their own observations and scientific recordings.
