Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my class are eager and ready to take on reading to a whole new level! They love to be technologically engaged so these materials will help fuel their minds!
The students at my school are culturally diverse.
We are a low income school so the attention that they get here is very valuable! I want to give them an opportunity to learn in various ways so that they can have the time to flourish and grow. These students love to come to school and this will only make their experience worth their while.
My Project
The students will use the CD players and books on audio in their listening centers and in their literacy groups. Centers are very important in our curriculum and the listening center will provide the students with the opportunity to learn from the read aloud. All of the books will be utilized to the fullest extent. They will be able to practice matching pictures to words and practice reading stories with the appropriate voice/tone.
