A Pinch of Creativity with a Dash of Color

I teach keyboarding in a school that has low income families and 77% of our school's kids get free lunch. We are the poorest school district in our county. Technology is utilized in my classroom to enhance education by integrating subjects across the curriculum. Students are highly motivated and engaged with the 30 computers in my room.

The problem is, I have a slow black and white printer in my classroom. When my kids do a project that they put their hearts and souls into it, when it comes out of the printer in black and white they get upset. They want to see their creativity and the colors put into it come out on paper. Would you want to create a wonderful PowerPoint presentation for your company, and put lots of effort into it for it to only show in black and white? No you would be mad too. I feel terrible for these kids and I would love for them to get the acknowledgment they deserve when they create a masterpiece.

What I really need is a color printer for my projects in the class. Not everything needs the color printer but when my kids are creating a graded assignment, I want them to feel good about what they created and I am tired of hearing "Oh it's not in color?"

So please if you can find it in your heart to donate towards my proposal, it would be greatly appreciated. Maybe, if enough people are as caring as me, we will meet our goal and get the printer we need for our class. Thank you in advance.
