Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My classroom is a fun, hands-on learning environment with curious students. We laugh, play, write, draw, and learn with technology. I want my students to be reading by the end of the school year, and one way I can help get them there is through listening to stories and playing games on computers!

My school is full of diverse learners from all over.

Some students speak a second language and need support through technology, and pictures. My students are excited about learning and are always up for a new task. They love playing games and working in group.

My Project

With the computer in the classroom, my students will be able to listen to stories, play literacy games, play math games, trace letters, etc. They will be able to practice the skills they learned in class on the computer. Students will be able to use the headphones for the computers and the listening center.

As of now, we only get a few computers per classroom, so donations to this project will help my class get a computer so that we will have enough to have small group rotations for language arts and math.

This will help more students reinforce their learning.
